Programs for Tweens (4th, 5th, & 6th Graders)

All For One

All 4th, 5th and 6th graders are invited to join All For One (AFO).  We have a terrific AFO year planned for you.  It’s filled with great mission projects, fun field trips and a lot of hot topics you will want to explore and learn more about.  We meet Sunday evenings in Wesley Hall at

7 - 8 pm immediately after handbell choir and a brief dinner. (The dinner will be in Founders Hall from 6:45 - 7:00. Volunteer cooks welcome!) We generally communicate by email.  For more information or to be added to our e-mail list please contact Heather Evans at hevans@aldersgate.net or 703-765-6555, ext. 616.  We look forward to seeing you Sunday evenings beginning with our fall kickoff on September 12!

Register for All For One, handbells, and choir now!

Acolyte Team

All 4th, 5th and 6th graders are invited to acolyte during our 8:30 and 11:15 worship services. Being an acolyte is a great experience.  You will bring the Light of Christ into the service and serve as the minister’s right hand.  We have a lot of kids who participate in the program so a commitment to be an acolyte can easily be fit into your family’s schedule. Training is provided in the fall. If your child would like to attend the acolyte training or you have any questions please contact Diane Hohman or Heather Evans.

Confirmation (6th Grade and up)

Confirmation begins on September 12, 2010.  This year-long study introduces young teens to the dynamics of the Christian faith.  All rising 6th graders and older youth who have not completed this course are invited.  Confirmation will start with orientation for students and parents on September 12 at 9:45 a.m.  Please fill out the registration form to sign up. If you have any questions, please contact Director of Youth Ministries Andrew DiAntonio at 703-765-6555 ext. 606 or adiantonio@aldersgate.net
