Confirmation 2010 - 2011
An opportunity for rising 6th graders & up
Confirmation is an intensive but fun experience through which sixth graders learn to practice the Christian faith for themselves. The program is designed to give students a solid knowledge of scripture, an understanding of the theological content of the faith and, most importantly, how to participate in the life of a religious community.
Confirmation class meets at 9:45 on Sunday mornings and is led by Rev.
and field trips. This past year’s class, for example, kicked off the fall with bowling and a bonfire and in November took a field trip to the National Cathedral to be taught prayer by the Cathedral director.
Every year our confirmation program grows and even attracts families from other churches and in the wider community. We aim to have confirmation be a positive, growing experience for the whole family. We would love to have your family be a part of this year’s experience.
An information and orientation meeting will be held at 9:45 on September 12 for parents and students, and the first regular class session will follow on September 19.
You may register your child on the church website. If you have any questions, feel free to call (703-765-6555) or email Rev. Jason Micheli or Andrew DiAntonio.
