Memorial Gifts Support Many Aldersgate Ministries
Aldersgate's Gifts & Memorials Committee has been very active in 2009. Through the generosity of donors contributing funds in memory of loved ones, we have been able to purchase items and support several ministries within the church. After consultation to gain approval from donors, memorial funds are often used to "fill in the gaps" that inevitably surface during the course of the budget year.
Items recently funded all or in part through memorial gifts:
- trees on the church grounds
- freezer in Wesley kitchen
- sanctuary altar lighting
- two automatic external defibrillators (AEDs)
- window treatments custom-made for the Prayer room to complete its redecoration.
- paper folding machine for the workroom
The committee is now focusing on updating the "Wish List" for our church. If you perceive a need, however large or small (donors often will fund items under $200), that you feel will support the goals and objectives of an Aldersgate ministry area, please complete the Wish List Request form and return it to the Gifts & Memorials Committee mailbox in the church workroom.
