Confirmation is an opportunity to respond to the workings of God’s grace in our lives. The goal of the class is for students to begin to understand for themselves what it means to be a Christian and a member of God’s Church.
Throughout the year, students will discover what it takes to follow Christ and to model His love and mercy to the world by participating in a socially distanced kick-off, interactive class sessions, service projects, worship, and a spring retreat at Camp Highroad.
Classes will begin online. Two confirmation classes (same lesson) will be offered per week: Sundays at 11:00 a.m. or Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. Students can choose which class to attend. Classes will be taught by Molly Johnson, Deborah Jones, and Cheryl Bratten.
Hopefully, small groups can meet in person at a later date (following all safety guidelines).
This class is open to all students rising 6th grade – rising 8th grade. Classes begin September 13th and end May 23rd. Cost is $150 to cover retreat, supplies, and events. Student pick-up packets containing lesson and class information will be available at Aldersgate church (date/time TBD).
