Children’s Ministries at Aldersgate provides opportunities for children and their families to get to know Jesus and experience firsthand the transformation in their lives from this relationship.
Children explore scripture, build friendships, and serve the community while developing their faith in a nurturing, Christ-centered environment.
The following classes and programs are offered:
Childcare is provided during all Sunday morning worship services. Children 4 and under are welcome during the 8:30 and 11:00 services, children under 3 during the 9:30 services. Our Sunday School classes begin at age 3.
Sunday School begins at 9:30 a.m. for children ages 3 years old to 5th grade.
A unique Sunday School class for children in the 4th and 5th grade.
A class leading to confirmation in the United Methodist Church is for those in 6th grade.
Acolytes serve at the 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services.
Tween Book Club
A book club for boys and girls ages 9-12 that meets quarterly.
Vacation Bible School, Brave for Girls, and a Musical Theater workshop are just some of the offerings each summer.
A variety of books for children and tweens to borrow are in room 132.
Seasonal events offered for children and families in our church and the local community.
Hands-On Mission Projects
An opportunity for children and parents to participate in quarterly hands-on outreach mission projects.
