Summer Mission Trips

Register now for our summer youth mission trip to Guatemala.

Our trip to Guatemala for youth who have completed ninth grade and older and adults will be led by Jason and take place from July 20-27. We will continue our ongoing project to construct a secondary school in the Maya Highlands. This project is urgently needed because, for the dozens of communities in this region, there is presently no educational opportunity beyond fifth grade. With so much talk about illegal immigration, one constructive thing we can do is to empower people where they live and help them to flourish and provide for their families. The team will lodge at the community center in Chuicutama, which Aldersgate built in 2013-2014. Scholarships are available for youth and adults with need.

White Mountain Apache Reservation

This summer from June 24-July 1, Aldersgate will once again send a team of adults and youth to the White Mountain Apache reservation in Arizona to spend a week partnering with members of the tribe on projects to help develop life skills, offer positive alternatives to socially destructive activities, strengthen multi-generational cultural connections, and create sources of income and employment. This year’s trip will begin the rehabilitation of the stables and corrals on the historic Ft. Apache in advance of a new equine therapy program for at-risk youth, planning and hosting a day camp for tribal youth, and other group activities that connect us with those we are serving. Past year’s teams have included individuals as well as entire families, so we encourage you to join us this summer! If interested, please contact Jason Micheli (
