Big Little Lies
New Sermon Series
Big Little Lies We Believe About God
Is God like Santa Claus? Is God male or female or none of the above?
Why pray if people sometimes only get worse?
It is time for a little upending, unpacking, and unloading of things we thought were true about life, about church, about God. Consider this an invitation to an intriguing new four-week sermon series “Big Little Lies” (the scripture will be I Peter) from January 13 through February 3.
We encourage each person to join a small group in engaging conversation and thought using the book on which this study is based: Lies We Believe About God by Wm. Paul Young, author of The Shack. It’s more fun to unpack and upend beliefs with others in the room. Email Mark and Shari Van Buren at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn about small groups that will be joining the conversation. Books will be for sale during coffee hours in Wesley Hall.
Starting January 16, we are offering a pastor-led group on Wednesday nights in Founders Hall, with supper beginning at 5:30 with discussion from 6:00 – 7:00. Help us get the food right–send an email to email@example.com if you think you might attend.
