Confirmation is, simply put, a chance for students to affirm the vows taken for them at baptism and to learn what it means to be a part of God’s story. Throughout the year, students will discover what it takes to follow Christ and to model his love and mercy to the world by participating in interactive class sessions, exciting field trips, and worship attendance.
Students will be required to attend the weekly class meetings on Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. (5 absences allowed), attend worship at least 15 times throughout the year, and attend a retreat May 4-5, 2019.
Parents will be asked to provide transportation and chaperoning for field trips and retreats, as well as attending the class on occasion to help provide the required number of adults for our child protection policy. Parent Orientation will be August 26, 10:30-10:50 a.m., immediately following the first class meeting.
This class is open to all students in sixth grade and up.
Classes began on Sunday, August 26, at 9:30 a.m. The class meets in Room 202. For more information on Confirmation, contact Ahnna Lise Stevens-Jennings, firstname.lastname@example.org.
